Mixed media ; markers at the background with acrylic layers paint

I´ve been working lately with these elements which Works pretty well once you´ve got in mind the following statements;
  • There is a right pen or marker for every surface
  • Make sure your paint media- all media on your surface is completely dry before you start painting on it…otherwise you ruin your pen.
  • Avoid the “fat” areas – meaning those areas – that you treated with oily and waxy paint media when you use felt markers or acrylic markers in general.
  • Be careful when you use an oil based marker or pen over water-soluble surfaces. Oftentimes the medium underneath reacts and the oil based marker bleeds into it. If that is what you want…you are good to go
  • For me, creating art is a dialogue between my skills and the supplies I use. It is not so much a battle as an ongoing attempt to work out the connections between ideas and techniques.

    Easy and quick drawings with markers
    Drawing with markers offers almost instant gratification—markers are simple to use, require little prep time and dry quickly. Because the marking material is fluid, the smooth marks are unlike those made by dry drawing mediums. Drawing with markers will offer you a range of brilliant color that surely will excite your creativity. They’re ideal for creating loose lines
    Layering technique : Markers lend themselves perfectly to blending and layering color. Start with the lightest colors, building up rich layers of color and texture. Colorless blenders, such as those from Chartpak, can be used to soften edges and combine colors

    CHROME EFFECT colorsChrome effects are achieved by having metallic pigment particles located on the surface of the object you are painting.  So the light can shine and reflect off these particles. (this is the idea)
    I did this drwg with Tamiya color Acrylic Paint (Metallic Grey). / / FEATURES: Made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either / brush or spray painting. / is not recomendable for paper however I added in particular spots in mínimum amount (diluted with alcohol)It covers well, flows smoothly with no blushing , and can / be blended easily.(it was fadded with a rag) Paint number X-11 on the Tamiya Color Chart. / / In order to add this particular metallic color, the blue and black shadowing markers color was added prior to metallic pigments, always keeping the White color away from theses painting additions
