Ref 1143 Watercolor .- Creating an easy atmosphere through watercolor "mixing color previously in a small containers"
This particular process is easier than trying to overlaid washes to build up the color you want and to avoid brushing over and over a previous wash with the risk that the underwash lift and you have to sacrifice the translucency ,
This exercise is quite simple but gives excellent results
Materials are indicated through following steps
Step 1.- Paper is cold press 140 lbs, You need to plan ahead lighter positions and try to avoid pencil lines as much as posible, I forced the contrast in the following photograph so you can see my few pencil lines and the masking fluid added to preserve whites and reflections (masking fluid has been diluted 1:1 with wáter)
Step 2.- (An important thing to remember when mixing colors is that they look much darker on the pool /palette; than when applied to the paper and left to dry .- therefore try out mixtures on a sheet of sketching papers in advance)
I mixed cerulean blue and Payne´s grey in a small container (A) and yellow + yellow médium in another (B) to work with
With a wet sponge I marked previously within the paper where I wanted to conform the color background (container A) and I start adding with a round brush (from my planning darker áreas) then I tilted the paper so the paint run free toward the upper sky part and I marked another áreas within the paper to suggest another shadowing then leave to dry completely
Step 3 Container B.- This áreas will be the ones with high ilumination in my painting I added some extra shadowing with médium yellow.- leave to dry completely again
Step 4 Now you can use container A to form figures, shapes etc. think first in your background so details will be easier at the end
I start to add another colors in the foreground flesh; blue; and violet to suggest forms accordingly
Process undergoing
Step 5.- With the paint from container "A" and with a fine round brush in your rigth hand and and absorbent paper in your left hand you can integrate color distance, cleaning up and lifting out as you add color
Step 6.- keep working details until be satisfied

Ref 1142.- Mixed media // Color pencil + watercolor pencil+ink lines +watercolor brushing
Watercolor Pencils appear at first to be normal colored pencils, but when water is added to them, they give the beautiful look of watercolors. They might seem tricky to use at first, but when used correctly, the end result are pretty good!
Watercolor pencil techniques: --There are many but these ones are the most common-
1.-color the drwg by layering colors and then with a brush and plain wáter paint over the area
2.- Rubbing your brush against the tip of the wet pencil as substitute for watercolor pans
3.- Use the pencil dry to add details on the watercolor painting (useful for finest lines)
4.- Wetting the paper in advance in a previous spot in which you want to add color from the watercolor pencil
For the following Project will use basically technique No 1
This is the result regarding this process Main steps are as indicated below:
1.- Draw a pencil sketch of your subject. It does not need to be too detailed, but do include major lines and points. I did use black prismacolor pencil for reference contourn helping me with a rule for some reference lines on it----
2.- Now shade the picture with watercoloring pencil accordingly (I did use just black color for this particular car) it is easy to get the different values needed as if you drawing with a normal pencil
Step 3.- Some lines are made with my ink pen; not all, but just the important ones and also where shadowing lines are quite black to complement the car basic lines (see following picture) these lines will remain for a better reference through out next steps
(Note. Create a chart of colors. With each of the colors of pencils that you will be using, shade a small square and paint over it with water. This will allow you to see how your colors will look, as some colors look completely different once water has been added)
Step 4.- As you´ll see in next piture, I start to add wáter with my wet "filbert type) brush and the partial result through out front bump ---paint water over your picture. Make sure that your brush strokes go with the contours of your subject. Start out with a little bit of water, and add more to produce a more washed out effect. The more water is added, the lighter the color will become and the less you will see your pencil lines. However, if too much water is used, the colors will run. Use a smaller brush for detailed áreas

Step 5.- With your base color, make a second layer over your picture. This time, leave blank the areas of highlight and shade in your shadowed áreas
Once your initial layer of water has dried, you can dip the pencils themselves into the water to add areas of intense color or details. Doing this provides a very strong color, and it is difficult to hide mistakes
So far the vehicle alone it is ready and you can leave like that, however I decided to add a background with just watercoloring brushing
Additional steps.- If you wish to, you can go back over your picture now with another layer of shading colors. You may or may not want to add water to this layer I did for color reflections over the car

Ref 1134; 1135; 1136 Inktense Watercolor Pencil & Plain Waterolor Mixed Media
My first test with "Inktense pencils" are labeled as water-soluble ink pencils, meaning that the binder is different from watercolor pencils. Once activated layers have dried, they become permanent like ink. This allows for additional layers to be applied over the top, producing a glazing effect that is a bit more difficult to achieve with watercolor pencils
